The Giver is the story of a boy named Jonas, who lives in a utopian society where there is no pain or suffering. Every day, Jonas, like all of his fellow citizens, receives a new memory from the Giver (who has perfect knowledge of the past and the present). One day, however, Jonas starts to have doubts about his society and is faced with the possibility of escaping it.I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found this book to be
The Giver is a dystopian novel by Lois Lowry. It's about a society where there is no color, no pain, and no emotion. Everything is planned and controlled by the Giver, the society's leader. The Giver is chosen at a young age and then given one Assignment to test if they are fit to take up their post. The protagonist, Jonas, has a special gift that lets him see the color green. The Giver assigns Jonas to be the Receiver of Memory
My favorite book is by Lois Lowry.I love Lois Lowry's "The Giver" as it is a thought-provoking story about the future of humanity. The dystopian society of the future, where everything is the same, is a fascinating setting for a story. It is interesting to see the main character in the story struggle with his memories and identity after living his whole adult life in this society and having no knowledge of what it used to be like before.
I needed to write a literature review about The Giver and The Songbird With Sapphire Eyes books. I read The Giver with pleasure and got an A+ for my book review. Lois Lowry is a wonderful writer.
