In the spring of 2010, I was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called Rett Syndrome. The diagnosis is not a joke. I was born with an extremely rare and severe recessive genetic condition where my brain is unable to properly interpret sensory input. That means that my eyes don’t work like the average person’s eyes. My body is also unable to interpret temperature. I am unable to tell if my body is hot, cold, wet or dry. I cannot feel my skin
